German Weimar Republic in the early 1920s and the U.S. – Troubling similarities

No article for today, instead a webpage which we found very interesting. It shows a chart which compares and contrasts Weimar Germany to the US from  2001 onwards. It makes for an interesting, and sometimes concerning read. The US data only goes to 2009, so it may be an interesting comparison to see similaities which have occurred in the last 2 years. I wonder if the author’s belief that things won’t get as bad as Weimar Germany, still stands considering the various rounds of quantitative easing since then.
